SNAG's theme for the 2016 Exhibition in Motion (EiM) is Xchange: Fashioning Intersections. The event is scheduled for May 21, 2016 during SNAGneXt in Asheville, NC. SNAG is pleased to produce the EiM in partnership with local Asheville fiber group Local Cloth.

SNAG is Looking for a Few Friendly Faces

SNAG's newly formed Hospitality Committee is looking for some friendly faces. Interested in welcoming speakers at SNAG conference events? Can you help organize a VIP party with us? Love to meet some of your metal-world idols in person and hang out with them?

This volunteer positions is for you if you can:
  • participate in 2-3 committee phone calls before the conference
  • attend SNAGneXt in Asheville, NC

Signs of Life is an annual literary journal and contemporary jewelry art exhibition at Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery in Seattle. The exhibit features work by nine jewelry artists, many of them are SNAG members. One piece by each artist is used as the jumping off point for nine written pieces by published authors. The resulting works culminate in a unique publication and exhibition celebrating the literary and jewelry arts. On view October 7-27.

Repair Days at The Metal Museum

Repair Days is September 24-27 at The Metal Museum in Memphis, TN. The Museum is also featuring SNAG member Linda Threadgill as their 2015 Master Metalsmith. Best known for developing etching techniques inspired by industrial circuit board fabrication, Threadgill incorporates two-dimensional bas-relief patterns into complex three-dimensional works. Don't miss her gallery talk Saturday evening.

LOOT: MAD About Jewelry

LOOT: MAD About Jewelry, the Museum of Arts and Design's annual six-day exhibition and sale featuring designs from emerging and acclaimed jewelry artists, returns this fall from September 28-October 3, 2015. LOOT presents a cross-section of the most exciting and cutting-edge designs, offering the public a rare opportunity to meet and acquire pieces directly from some of the most skilled creators in the field. LOOT features the work of 55 jewelers from 21 countries, many of whom will be on-site throughout the exhibition and sale.
