SNAG Emerging Curators Program
 
New program: SNAG wants to support emerging curators in the field of jewelry and metalwork. This new program offers grants up to $2,500 to assist an emerging curator or curators in executing an exhibition focused on jewelry and/or metalwork. Learn more and apply. Deadline: December 1, 2015.

SNAG Needs You at SOFA!
 
Want to help SNAG at SOFA Chicago? We are looking for people to help November 5th-8th at the SNAG table. All volunteers get free daily admission in exchange for helping to staff the table for a 2-3 hour shift. Tell people about SNAG and what we offer our membership! We are also looking for volunteers in the Atlanta area to help staff the SNAG table at the Atlanta Contemporary Jewelry Show, November 6-7. Texas Metals Symposium Live Streaming on Saturday
 
The 2015 Texas Metals Symposium lectures will be streamed live this Saturday, October 17, 9:00-5:00. This year's symposium features Diane Falkenhagen, Randy Long, Chris Irick and Cathy McClure. The Texas Tech School of Art and the Metals Club of TTU welcomes all to be a part of the symposium and the stream! More info at their Facebook event page
Metalwerx Online Auction Now Open
 
Metalwerx is holding an online auction. Bid on hand-crafted jewelry, professional tools, services and more. All proceeds benefit Metalwerx, a Non-Profit School for Jewelry Making and Metal Arts, located in Waltham, MA. Bidding opened today, October 12th, and closes on October 18th at 6:00 pm.
Exhibition in Motion 
SNAG's theme for the 2016 Exhibition in Motion is Xchange: Fashioning Intersections. The event is scheduled for May 21, 2016 during SNAGneXt in Asheville, NC. SNAG is partnering with fiber group Local Cloth. Apply to participate now. All applications are automatically accepted! Deadline this Friday: October 16, 2015.
Lifetime Achievement

SNAG is seeking nominations for its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is SNAG's highest honor and is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of metalsmithing. Make a nomination today. Deadline: December 18, 2015.
