CoOperation Garnish is at Velvet da Vinci

CoOperation Garnish is a traveling group exhibition organized by Brigitte Martin and Rachel Timmins. The show features collaborative works by 22 artist teams, which consider the material and historical past of metal/jewelry/object making.

A garnish can be anything from an adornment that adds or enhances the body (human or animal) to a functional or nonfunctional object that decorates and spices up a room. This exhibition asks viewers and participants to examine the idea of a garnish made by two different subsets of makers who have come together to create an embellishment that satisfies both.

It can be seen through September 20 at Velvet da Vinci in San Francisco.
