Your 2015 Board of Directors Candidates

SNAG is happy to introduce the 2015 slate of Board of Directors candidates! There are five candidates for three seats on the Board:

Kat Cole is a full-time studio artist in Dallas, TX. She has taught workshops at Penland, the Yuma Symposium, Touchstone, and the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh.




Brian Ferrell
makes tableware, furniture, and lighting, which he shows at ACC. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA.




Katie Poterala
has a studio practice in Greenville, SC, a bench jewelry position, and teaches local workshops. She has been SNAG's Volunteer Coordinator since 2012.




Alejandro Sifuentes
lives and works in San Antonio, TX. He has been a working artist in the field for over 40 years. His studio and gallery, Equinox, has hosted many exhibitions.




April Wood
lives and works in Baltimore, MD. She is a board member and co-founder of the Baltimore Jewelry Center. She exhibited at SIERAAD International Art Jewelry Fair in 2013.





We will soon begin to feature a candidate each week in Riveting News. Full bios and insight Q&As will also be available online at the end of March.
Online voting takes place May 4th-23rd.

There will also be an election for one seat on the Nominations & Elections Committee. The slate is Tara Locklear and Kathleen Janvier. More information on them next week.

SNAG 2015 Raffle

Donate to SNAG's Silent Auction & Tool in the Hat

The Silent Auction is looking for art books, jewelry, findings, metals, gemstones, small handmade objects, and brand new tools. For the Silent Auction you can drop off donations on-site at the conference on May 20th from 3-7pm. Or if you would like to ship them ahead of time, the shipping deadline is May 1st. Learn more

Exhibition in Motion at the SNAG Conference

This year's Exhibition in Motion theme is Rapid Jewelry: a Design Competition of Rapid Prototyping. On May 23rd SNAG is pairing up with the Design Museum Boston to bring you this live fashion show event and fundraiser featuring models wearing cutting edge jewelry. Want to attend? Tickets can be purchased during conference registration for $25, or at the door for $40.  Want to enter? The Call for Entries is now open. Deadline for Entries: April 3, 2015

This year, SNAG is holding an open design contest among all our members for a fun, new logo that will become the featured design for all our 2015 perks!
