SNAG Conference Keynote: Ruudt Peters
SNAG is thrilled to feature Ruudt Peters as our opening keynote for the 2015 conference on Wednesday, May 20th at 6 pm. Peters has been a driving force in our field, inspiring artists to challenge themselves and always keep concept at the forefront of the creative process. He has taught at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Adellab Konstfack in Stockholm, Sweden, and is currently a professor at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. His innovative work can be found in museum collections around the world. Join us on May 20th, directly following the official conference opening at 6 pm. Learn more about PetersIn conjunction with the SNAG conference there will be an exhibition showcasing Peter's work at MASSArt. The 2015 SNAG Election will determine three (3) members of the Board of Directors, and one (1) member of the Nominations & Elections Committee.

Did you know there's a NEW scholarship for emerging & mid-career artists?
New in 2015, SNAG has three juried scholarships for emerging and mid-career artists to use toward a workshop of their choice in North America. These awards will be as follows: one $2000 award, one $1500 award and one $1000 award; each includes a one-year SNAG membership. Emerging and mid-career artists should have not been enrolled in a degree or certificate program in the past 3 years to qualify.
For 2015, SNAG will also award three student scholarships with at least one award given to a student that is currently an undergraduate. These scholarships are for tuition towards the artists' degree granting program. The scholarships are as follows: one $2000 award, one $1500 award and one $1000 award; each includes a one-year SNAG membership. Deadline: March 15, 2015 - Learn more

The Craft School Experience
Haystack, Arrowmont, Penland, Pilchuck, and Peters Valley launched "The Craft School Experience" in November 2014 at SOFA Chicago, where there was an exhibit featuring work by artists who have been influenced by their experience at the five art schools.
