Arts Business Institute Scholarship

The Arts Business Institute is offering scholarships for artists to attend the 2015 Winter Workshop taking place at the American Made Show in Washington, DC on January 17-18, 2015.

One full $250 scholarship will be awarded to an artist who is a member of SNAG and whose work falls into the jewelry or metalsmithing categories. This scholarship is sponsored by the SNAG . The award will be granted based on excellence in workmanship as well as demonstrated need. Deadline: December 5, 2014.

2015 Call for Nominations and Candidacy

 

The 2015 SNAG Election will determine three (3) members of the Board of Directors, and one (1) member of the Nominations & Elections Committee. This is your opportunity to help in securing the future of our organization.

 

The deadline for candidates to be added to the 2015 Election slate is February 19, 2015. Please contact a member of the Nominations and Elections Committee today.

SNAG is seeking nominations for its 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominations and letters of support must be submitted by December 20, 2014.

2015 "Exhibition in Print" Moved by Metal: On Beauty as Interaction

Call for Related Work 
For SNAG's 2015 "Exhibition in Print," curator Wendy Steiner seeks out metal objects-jewelry, sculpture, tools, gadgets-from any culture, that incite revelatory responses in their viewers.  While with jewelry the beauty of an object almost inherently involves an interaction with its audience/wearer, other metal objects can be as programmatically interactive. Deadline: January 15, 2015.

Santa Fe Symposium

The 29th Annual Santa Fe Symposium is accepting registrations. Learn about the latest jewelry research and innovation for jewelers. For 2015, presentation topics range from methods for blackening silver to internet marketing to investment casting of titanium to digital design to brand building. The Symposium runs May 17-20, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. Presented by Rio Grande.
