Are You Getting the Most Out of Your Jewelry Images?

As a jewelry designer, you have a pretty good artistic sense. And, quite likely, you have a pretty good camera, too. So that means you can save some money by taking some pretty good pictures to market your work, right? Not necessarily!

So how do you know if you need a professional photographer? And if so, how do you go about choosing one?

Those are just the first questions that this month's Jeweler's Resource Bureau webinar guest, master photographer Robert Diamante, will explain for you July 24 at 3:00 Eastern. Webinar price is $29. To sign up for the webinar visit Jeweler's Resource Bureau.

Smithsonian Craft Show Call for Entries 2015

Widely regarded as the nation's premier juried show and sale of fine American craft. No artist is automatically invited back; all previous exhibitors must reapply and be evaluated by the jury. As a result, each new show is different from previous shows, and is always an exciting presentation of excellence in American craft.

The application for the 2015 Smithsonian Craft Show is due September 14, 2014.
Art Jewelry Forum 2014 Artist Award for an Emerging Jewelry Arist

Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) is accepting applications for its 2014 Artist Award for an Emerging Jewelry Artist. This is the fifteenth year that AJF will be providing a cash award to a contemporary jewelry artist. The amount of the 2014 award will remain at $7500 this year thanks to the generous support of Susan Kempin and Susan Beech, both long-time collectors and supporters of AJF.

The purpose of the award is to acknowledge promise, innovation, and individuality in the work of an emerging jewelry artist and to help to advance the artist's career. Deadline: September 30, 2014.
