SNAG Major Sponsor for American Craft Week!
October 3 - 12, 2014

America's Handmade Movement

Every day thousands of American artists share their vision and talent by producing amazing hand-made decorative and functional objects. And every day thousands of craft retailers share their love of these items by displaying, promoting and selling them. As one craft artist put it, "this is the creative economy!"

While other industry associations have long touted their products, the craft industry has lacked a single way to be highly visible. So we ask you to join us in publicizing, educating and displaying American Craft for ten days each October. Join the national celebration of American Craft!  Participate here

ACC & SNAG Partner for Invitational Program

The American Craft Council has invited SNAG to participate in their Artist Invitational Program for their 2015 Baltimore show. SNAG will require an application of interest along with submission of images of your work in order to be considered.  Applications will be juried and the program is limited to 10 artists.  This opportunity is open to any current SNAG member.

Artists chosen will be expected to attend and sell work at the ACC Baltimore show.  You may choose wholesale, retail, or both. Please note that chosen participants will still need to pay for their booth space (which you may share with another artist if so chosen) and all travel.  You don't have to jury into the show with the general applicants nor pay an application fee.

Chosen artists will be given access to online resources where they can have their questions answered and learn more about what it entails to set up and sell from a booth.  Each accepted applicant can be partnered with an existing ACC artist, if desired, for help on any issues that may arise or questions you may have.

Please fill out the form and submit five (5) digital images of your work, along with a price sheet listing both wholesale (if applicable) and retail prices for the submitted images.

There is no application fee.

ACC Baltimore is February 18-19, 2015 (wholesale) and February 20-22, 2015 (retail).

Applications and questions go to Gwynne Rukenbrod

Deadline: July 1, 2014, 5 pm
Notification of Acceptance: August 1, 2014

Velvet da Vinci announces
Delirio y Cordura
exhibition!

San Francisco's Velvet da Vinci is proud to present Delirio y Cordura (Delirium and Sanity) an exhibition of contemporary Chilean jewelry. In the ten years since Joyas Jóias, the first exhibition of Latin American jewelry at Velvet da Vinci, there has been a growing awareness and appreciation for the achievements of contemporary jewelers in Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Brazil. For this exhibition, each jeweler was inspired by the themes of delirium and sanity, choosing one or both concepts. The idea of harmony and balance versus insanity and irrationality influence the creation of each work through an exploration of shape, color, material, and concept. Chaos, out of order.

September 6 - 7, 2014
