Happy Monday y'all!
One of the first major projects I have been working on since I started working for SNAG is the marketing plan for 2014. I've been carefully considering what to advertise and where to advertise it. As part of the new marketing plan, we have decided to promote our Maker Profiles. This is our way of making the Maker Profiles more visible and enhancing them as a member benefit.
What does this mean to you? It means you should either update your current profile if necessary, or create your profile if you haven't already.
See what a Maker Profile did for one SNAG member:
A couple that saw my Maker Profile contacted me about making their wedding bands. They were interested in having artful one-of-a-kind rings made. They were thrilled with the outcome and I was thrilled to have gotten the commission! It was a great experience. For the small investment of time in setting up my profile, I made a $3200 sale that wouldn't have happened otherwise. My Maker Profile has provided exposure to an audience I might never have reached. What a great benefit! Thanks, SNAG!
We are letting the world know that the Maker Profiles are a robust online reference where you can find professional quality jewelry and objects that excite and engage. SNAG Maker Profiles are a great resource for curators, gallery professionals, retailers, artists, academics, art historians, fashion designers, editors, stylists, and curious consumers.
The first two ads have been placed in the January issue of Metalsmith magazine and the February Issue of Ornament magazine. Update your profile today!

Now that we've given thanks for the things we have, let's start sharing those wish lists of the things we'd like to have.
SNAG needs a few good people to step forward as Presidential Candidates.
The Nominations & Elections Committee elves are working hard to build an outstanding slate of candidates for the 2014 election but we still need to find our future leader.Should you know or, in fact, be the person* who has the skills, experience, and devotion to take the reins, we'd be happy to receive your email (and appease you with all the milk & cookies you can handle!!!) *Scrooges & Grinches need not reply.
If you would like to speak to someone who has direct knowledge of SNAG initiatives, address those questions to the Chair.
