Gwynne Rukenbrod
Executive Director
|
Happy Monday y'all, As I've been settling into my new position, I've been meeting with many of you and having great conversations. I am so excited about what I am hearing. You value SNAG. Many of you say you wouldn't be who you are without SNAG. As we continue to work on fundraising to get back on solid footing, I am reminded every day of the amazing community that is SNAG. To keep this community well-grounded, the board and I will be examining the current strategic plan and asking for your thoughts on our programs, services and membership benefits. Based on the information we receive, we will then create a new sustainable business plan that will take SNAG and our community into the future. Please help us in the coming months as we work toward making SNAG the best organization it can be. You can: We also hope that you're taking advantage of all of the member benefits we are offering. In addition to our strategic planning and fundraising, we are also working every day to bring you these programs and services:Help us to keep helping you! SNAG exists primarily because of support and participation from members like you. Volunteer, make a donation or tell a friend about SNAG today. Thank you for your generous support. In SNAG, Gwynne |

We the people of the Nominations and Elections Committee are actively seeking assistance in identifying potential members to serve as one (1) President-Elect, three (3) members of the Board of Directors, and one (1) member of the Nominations & Elections Committee (NEC). SNAG leadership is created by the membership through this process.
As you may know, SNAG is in a time of transition. The current Board members are steadfastly working with Gwynne Rukenbrod, our new Executive Director, to secure the future of the organization. They are looking for devoted members who possess a breadth of experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for wanting this community to be all that it can.
If this sounds like you or someone you know, please contact a member of the NEC today. If you would like to speak to someone who has direct knowledge of SNAG initiatives, address those questions to the Chair.

Volunteer Spotlight: Sarah Holden
Sarah Holden lives in Chicago, IL. She is a metalsmith, studio jeweler & educator. Sarah is a one of our awesome volunteers who posts about SNAG on social media. She updates the SNAG discussion on crafthaus. We asked Sarah why she volunteers for SNAG:
"I wanted a way to give back to SNAG for all the awesomeness I have received in past years."
We also asked Sarah if she could be a superhero, what her powers would be:
"Duh! Wonder Woman! Actually I think my superhero power would be somewhere between being able to turn everything to gold and having wonder woman's amazing outfit and bracelets that would protect me from evil."
Thanks, Sarah!
