SNAG needs you! That's right my fellow SNAG members. It is once again nomination season and we the people of the Nominations and Elections Committee are actively seeking assistance in identifying potential members to serve as one (1) President-Elect, three (3) members of the Board of Directors, and one (1) member of the Nominations & Elections Committee (NEC). SNAG leadership is created by the membership through this process. As you may know, SNAG is in a time of transition. The current Board members are steadfastly working with Gwynne Rukenbrod, our new Executive Director, to secure the future of the organization. They are looking for devoted members who possess a breadth of experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for wanting this community to be all that it can. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please contact a member of the NEC today. If you would like to speak to someone who has direct knowledge of SNAG initiatives, address those questions to the Chair. Volunteer Spotlight: Jennifer MerchantJennifer Merchant lives in Minneapolis, MN and works as a studio jewelry artist. She is a member of the event planning committee for the 2014 Minneapolis SNAG conference. Jennifer is coordinating the final night party and fundraising events.
We asked Jennifer why she volunteers... "It is a way for me to give back to SNAG and be more involved in the jewelry community. I also love planning events and want to bring joy and fun to all the members attending the upcoming conference, as well as plan a killer fundraiser to help get SNAG back in the black."
Thanks, Jennifer!
