Greetings!
There will be a celebration of Brent Kington's life, June 22, at SIU Carbondale. From 10:30 to noon, a reflection on his life, followed by a reception until 1:00. Beginning at 1:30 there will be an Open Forge and BBQ in his memory. A memorial exhibition of his work is open from June 21 to July 26, at the SIUC University Museum. Among many awards, Brent Kington was the 2011 recipient of SNAG's Lifetime Achievement Award. He was a founding member of SNAG and our first President.

Honolulu Authority Rapid Transportation:
Art-in-Transit Call For Artists
The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) seeks professional artist services for the design, fabrication and installation of site-specific integrated artworks for the twenty-one (21) stations and the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF), areas frequented by transit patrons for the Honolulu Rail Transit Project (HRTP).
Interested professional artists and/or artist teams must submit qualifications for consideration to be selected for inclusion into HART's Pre-Qualified Artist Registry. HART will evaluate and select Artists from this Registry for all HRTP Art-in-Transit art opportunities for the entire duration of the project.
Estimated budget for the design, fabrication and installation of artwork at each station or facility is anticipated to range from $125,000 to $450,000.

Sculpture/3D Visiting Professor
Oklahoma State University in Stillwater invites applications for a fulltime, non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor in Sculpture/3D Design to begin August 19, 2013. Successful candidate will have an expertise in traditional and contemporary sculptural media and processes along with a broad knowledge of contemporary and historical perspectives as they relate to the field. Knowledge of 3-D modeling programs and Torchmate CAD Plasma Cutter machine is desired.

SNAG's second virtual exhibition, juried by master goldsmiths George Sawyer, Judith Kinghorn, and Tom Herman. Read the Call for Entries Prospectus and the Jurors' Statement on our website, and begin thinking about the pieces you will submit. Open to anyone in the world whose work fits the jurors criteria.
The entry fee is $25 for SNAG members, $35 for non-members, all submissions must be made through the CaFE website. HWD Regional Sculpture Competition
Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Ohio, announces a call for entries for HWD 2013: Regional Sculpture Competition. Artists from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are invited to enter original sculptures created from any 3-D media or combination of media including clay, wood, glass, metal, fiber and stone. Kinetic Conceptions Call for Entries
At SUNY Geneseo's Kinetic Gallery, emphasizing the theme of movement. Art that is physically mobile as well as art that depicts or represents movement is welcomed. All media are encouraged.
