Greetings!
We are looking for volunteers to help Ellen Laing staff the SNAG booth in Tucson at the AGTA show. We have five volunteer badges that will get you into the AGTA show. We also have volunteer slots for people who qualify on their own to be at the show. Our five badges go to people who don't qualify on their own. To volunteer, contact Ellen Laing by Monday November 26.
We have created a new Conference Exhibitions Committee, which will function much like our new Conference Programming Committee. The Committee is comprised of four members from different areas of the field who will coordinate the exhibition planning at our conferences over multiple years, beginning with the 2015 conference. The new Committee members are Raissa Bump, Adrienne Grafton, David Clemons, and Amy Tavern, together with the co-chairs of each year's conference.
I want to remind everyone that our Maker Profile Pages are now a free member benefit. And that the membership dues will increase on January 1, 2013. If you renew by December 31 you can lock in the current membership rate for one more year (regardless of when your membership is scheduled to expire).

Call for Entries: Exposed 2013  Helen Day Art Center is accepting submissions for "Exposed," its 22nd annual outdoor sculpture exhibition in Stowe, Vermont. This call is open for artists working within the field of sculpture, public art, participatory or social practice, and performance. The exhibition will be open July 12-October 19, 2013. Beers.Lambert Contemporary is proud to announce a new open-call (completely free of any fees to the artist) in search of artwork that primarily adopts gold as its raison-d'être.
The submitted work(s) can operate with this idea directly, conceptually, or in any process that informs its content or form; it may take the form of one or several pieces from an artist's discipline; it can exist in gold or any other media, provided that the aura of gold is the artwork's primary point of departure. Artists worldwide, at any career-stage are encouraged to submit.

Assistant Professor, Tenure Track - Jewelry and Metalsmithing
The Department of Art provides a fertile and challenging environment for aesthetic and critical engagement, and the technical skills necessary for the practice of art in the changing landscape of the twenty-first century. It encourages innovation and cross-disciplinary activity, and believes that students should utilize the vast academic resources of the university to inform and deepen their artistic vision.
The Department offers the following degrees: BS in Art, BFA in Art, BS in Art Education, Masters in Art and Master of Fine Arts, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Art Education. The department currently has 31 faculty members, approximately 15 lecturers, and 15 teaching assistants.
