We're Changing (no joke!)

If you've ever visited our world-wide international HQ here in Hudson, you know why it's tough for us to say goodbye.  the great backyard.  The hammock swing.  The fireplace.  The underground submarine pen (not many of you knew about that, huh?).

But it's time for us to move on down to Stow with about 3 times the space.  Stay tuned for an open house invitation!

Simplex-IT is Moving!

We are excited to announce that the search is over and we've found our new location! It's just a couple miles down the road from where we are now.

Microsoft Project Basics - What you need to know to get started

(Free webinar April 21st)
We are going back to basics this month, to talk about everything you need to know to get started with MS Project productively. So many times we get caught up in our planning, and don't have time to really learn the fundamental concepts of the program.

Using Office 365 as a team offers some outstanding features for working together. One of my favorite and often used feature is real time co-authoring.
New yoPhone technology...no batteries!

Not everybody has immediate access to batteries, outlets, power adaptors and cables. Some in developing countries have to go miles to a recharging center (or the price is prohibitive). Solar converters would be nice, but the convenience of carrying around several square feet of solar panels (and hoping for sunny days) isn't always possible.

One startup in Montana is trying to change all this. Founder Terry Yupzendahn has created a mobile phone that has a unique powersupply...you. Playing with the phone.

Getting started with Cloud Computing

The cloud is a technology that's taking the business world by storm. Most organizations take advantage of some form of the cloud or another, be it for data storage, email hosting, or application deployment. There comes a time when your business needs to upgrade its technology. Holding out for as long as possible might seem beneficial for your wallet, but in the end, it's much more cost-effective to replace outdated and inefficient technology before it winds up becoming a liability.
Plain Funny

I've said it before.  I'm a Star Trek fan.  And I'm amazed at some of the content that's created by people just for the love of the genre.  I discovered this latest, an almost 2 hour long film based on the timeline of the series "Star Trek:Enterprise."

My understanding is that the budget of this film was in the $20,000 range.
