Server replacements (2 or 3 this month, depending on how you count them). 5 BDR (Backup and Disaster Recovery) Device installs. Implementing a 300+ seat, multiple location implementation of managed AV using Sophos.
And former intern Ala coming back and joining us full time.
And new videos up on YouTube. I do suggest you check out the one about Backups and Disaster recovery that we did at our April Lunchinar. This was the first Lunchinar where we had Montrose Video come in and record and edit our monthly Lunchinar. Boy, is there a difference!
We also have finally put the first Tech Webinar we ever hosted up on YouTube. Sarah Dutkiewicz gave a great presentation on PowerShell and using it to administer your Office 365 installation.
And there are actually a couple of other video's I had hoped to have up by now, but haven't had a chance.
Had great feedback from the last Lunchinar, where we compared tablets and how well they handle business needs. So we're doing it again, but this time for phones!
For the next tidbit, you need to know that MSP (in our biz) means "Managed Service Provider." It's kind of like the term "cloud," in that everybody has a definition of it to use. For us it's how we can be the IT department for small to medium businesses, and do it in a way that goes beyond the raw technology.
Anyway, Simplex-IT was recognized for not one, but two awards given out by MSPMentor. Simplex-IT was recognized as one of the "Top 500 MSP's in the World."
Two questions quickly come to mind:
1> "Top 500, eh? How many MSP's are there in the world?" Answer: At least 500. But of course, the larger the number, the better we look. So we think there's at least a billion. Yup, that's right. A Billion.
2> "Ok, so how high up in this list are you?" Did you hear us? We're talking a Billion!! Ok, ok...let's just say if the award were "Top 400 MSP's in the World" we wouldn't be having this conversation.
And the Second award? We're in the "Top 100 MSP's having 10 or fewer employees in the World."
We'll have more specific stuff on these awards in a separate Blog post.
