What was your childhood like?
My parents were both public school teachers, and my mother was also a theater director. I grew up in the theater, doing my homework there during her rehearsals. Performances were part of my childhood too - I played music or was onstage. I was a debater and did speech and student congress. My parents encouraged music, art, expression, individuality and justice in everything they did. I am a lifelong learner because of them.
