- Welcome to new committee Chair Veronica Chavez Law who will be working with the group to plan some special programs including a special September program - Italian Month in Fort Worth. Grazie to outgoing chair Dr. Bonnie Melhart for two years of service.
- Many thanks to TCU Italian class students who will be conducting cultural orientations for youth ambassadors going to Italy in March.

- The Trier group congratulates the youth ambassadors and Associate Delegation Leaders selected to travel there in June.

- The Nagaoka group is making plans for the Oshogatsu Japanese New Year celebration on January 24.
- Nagaoka is making a generous donation of fireworks and is sending an official delegation of 50 people to Fort Worth for the 4th of July. The Nagaoka group will day and home host the delegation. We are partnering with the Trinity River Vision for this program.

- The Budapest committee is planning some local cultural events for the year so stay tuned for dates and details.
- The Budapest committee congratulates the 8th-12th graders selected as youth ambassadors to travel to Budapest this March
- Welcome to Mac Zimmerman, who will serve as the new Budapest chair for the next two years.

Congratulations to All Saints Episcopal School as the 2013/14 Ambassador School with Toluca High School students coming March 18-29th as part of their study abroad requirement. They are also discussing a possible faculty exchange for a Fort Worth summer camp at All Saints.

- Mbabane newly elected mayor is Arnold Dlamini who has already expressed his support of our partnership and looks forward to many continued exchanges with Fort Worth.
- There is still space for adults to experience a true African adventure this summer, June 11-25. The exchange will include painting murals at child care point centers, delivering books to the library, visiting the Health & Social Center, as well as traditional tours and a safari. Information and registration is available on our website. Application deadline is Feb. 1st.

- Welcome Albon Head as new Guiyang Chair. Join him in January to help organize the group this year.
- Mark your calendars now for March 1st for a joint performance by the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra and a cultural dance performance group from Guiyang, China.

Fort Worth Youth International
- THANK YOU Sundance Square and all parents, teachers and students who volunteered for Sundance Santa raising nearly $20,000 for youth scholarships this year ! We especially thank school groups from Lake Country Christian, Nolan Catholic and Chisholm Trail High Schools for volunteering, along with the Hispanic Women's Network "Leaders in Progress" program.
- THANK YOU all youth officers and members for a very successful bake sell. Over $500 will go towards youth scholarships because of your hard work.
- Join us Jan. 27th to "Celebrate New Year's Around the World". Learn about upcoming programs including the International Leadership Academy for high school students and Jr. ILA for middle school. Applications will be available in January on our website.

Start planning for an internship with Sister Cities and contact Beth if you are interested. Positions are still open for the spring semester. -
The NET members are joining Mayor Price's Steer Fort Worth task force and are proposing international themed workshops for next year. Stay tuned for details. -
Sundance Santa was a HUGE success for the NET group this year. We raised $2,000 specifically for the Yamagata Emerging Leaders Scholarship. Great work team!
