Greetings!

I wanted to pass on some information on a job opportunity and county committee elections for FSA and a public meeting this week with Department of Natural Resources on Southern Peninsula Land Sales.
 
None of the state land in the Homer/Anchor Point area is designated for ag land sales.  If you're interested in land on the Southern Kenai Peninsula, stop on by and ask why!  Information on this meeting is below.
 

Public Meeting Regarding State Land Sales South of Anchor Point

The Department of Natural Resources is hosting a public meeting in Anchor Point on Wednesday, July 13th. DNR will offer and receive information on potential future state land sales currently proposed south of Anchor Point. The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce, 34175 Sterling Highway. For more information, please contact DNR at 907-269-8594 or the Chamber at 235-2600

FSA Job Opening at Delta Junction, Alaska
 
Alaska State Farm Service Agency is currently advertising for a permanent full-time Loan Assistant/Specialist (Agricultural) vacancy located in the Northern Service Center in Delta Junction, Alaska.  

The vacancy is being advertised under Job Announcements FSA-16-0979-AK-LF, FSA-16-0980-AK-LF, FSA-16-0982-AK-LF, FSA-16-0983-AK-LF and FSA-16-0984-AK-LF.

FSA Northern County Committee Elections

Alaska Farm Service Agency is seeking nominations for the Northern County FSA Committee.  Each year the agriculture producers served by the Farm Service Agency have an opportunity to nominate and elect a person from their Local Administrative Area (LAA) to represent them on the local County Committee.  This year, LAA-1 will be conducting elections.
LAA-1 encompasses the following areas:  North Slope, Northwest Arctic, Yukon-Koyukuk and Nome Census areas, as well as the Denali and Fairbanks North Star Borough.
Last day to submit nominations is August 1, 2016.
