Promote your business by donating an auction item for Annual Meeting
The Chamber is looking for items to be entered into our Annual Meeting live auction and silent auction. Our live auction is a lot of fun and in the past, we have offered several big ticket items, such as a Spa Membership and a Gold Ski pass at Boyne Mountain, hot air balloon rides from RE/MAX, and various vacation rentals. We are open to other ideas as well. For the silent auction, we are looking for all sorts of items, from gift baskets to tickets, products or anything fun and interesting that represents your business. Offering an auction item for our event is a great way to promote your business and showcase what you have to offer in front of a crowd of 300 business and community leaders. This is an exclusive benefit of Chamber membership. If you'd like to donate an auction item, please email missy@boynechamber.com or call 231-582-6222 and get us your auction items as soon as possible, no later than January 9th.

Chamber Checks replace Boyne Bucks as the ideal "shop local" gift
The Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce is changing its Boyne Bucks program to a more user-friendly program called Chamber Checks. Like Boyne Bucks, Chamber Checks also make the ideal "shop local" gift that can be redeemed at nearly any business in the Boyne area. Chamber Checks are issued by the Boyne Chamber and are redeemable much like a gift certificate or traveler's check. Chamber Checks make a great gift and encourage purchases at our member businesses. Chamber Checks are sold exclusively at the Boyne Chamber in denominations of $10 and $20. We appreciate advance notice for large orders.
HOLIDAY BONUSES - Chamber Checks are also a great way to give holiday bonuses to your employees. In fact, the Chamber recently filled an order for more than $6,000 in Chamber Checks from one local employer.
BOYNE BUCKS ARE STILL GOOD and will be redeemable with us for the next 5 years. Businesses should continue to turn in Boyne Bucks as you get them.
QUESTIONS? If you have any questions about Chamber Checks or Boyne Bucks, call the Chamber at 231-582-6222 or email Ashley Cousens, ashley@boynechamber.com.

Sprinkler systems decrease property loss in home fires an average of 71 percent, can reduce insurance premiums and may qualify your home for a tax rebate. On average, sprinkler systems use eight times less water than fire hoses, far reducing the effect of water damage. Home fires kill an average of 2,419 Americans each year, with an average of 85 percent of civilian fire deaths occurring in the home.
