Four compete for two seats on Boyne City school board in Tuesday election
From the Petoskey News-Review: Four people are seeking two seats on the Boyne City Public Schools Board of Education on the Tuesday, Nov. 8 ballot. The candidates include incumbent Bob South and newcomers Kristine Brehm, Alison Fuller Mellon, and Patricia Hills. All four are seeking election to one of two seats that will serve six-year terms. Those two seats are currently held by Lisa Schrock and Bea Reinhardt. Reinhardt has chosen not to seek re-election after serving on the board for many years. South, a current board member, was appointed to the board when longtime board member Ed Vondra died last year. The seat that he was appointed is up for re-election for someone to serve out the remaining two years of Vonda's term. South, however, has chosen to seek one of the two six-year seats. Schrock is running unopposed for the remaining two years of the seat South had been appointed. Full story with details on each candidate.
