Accredited Assistant Golf Superintendent (AAGS®)

 

Please join the CGSA in congratulating Karen Rumohr, AAGS, Assistant at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & C.C. for receiving her AAGS designation. 

 

Karen is our first female member to write the exam. She chose to write the AGS Exam during the Canadian International Turfgrass Conference and Trade Show and passed with one of the highest marks yet, congratulations; Karen!

CGSA BAYER SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR; JIM NIX

Abercrombie Golf & Country Club superintendent Jim Nix is shown receiving the award for being named the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association's Bayer Superintendent of the Year for 2014. Nix received the award recently at a ceremony in Calgary. The award recognizes a member of the CGSA who has held the position of golf course superintendent for a minimum of five years and who has distinguished her or himself through dedication to the profession, performance as a golf course superintendent and contributions to their profession and their community.
