There's still lots to see and do as summer
comes to a close at Bonnechere Provincial Park

Welcome back Spirits of the past.
Spirits Night
Saturday August 17

Once a year, when the stars reach a particular alignment, the spirits of those who have lived and worked along the Little Bonnechere River return to these shores once again. You'll meet voyageurs and surveyors, lumberjacks and pioneers who called the Bonnechere Valley home over centuries.

Passport to the Past
Saturday August 24
10:00am to Noon
Stroll the grounds of the Davenport Centre on an exploration of discovery as you examine the tools, trades and lifestyles of early Canadian pioneers. Learn how the First Nations and European settlers depended on the land and water in order to survive.

Music by Terry Conroy and Greg Russel of the Trophy Husbands.

Tuesday August 27
Learn how Active Transportation (AT) can increase the health and well-being of your family, your community and the environment. Our new AT interpretive program features experiential activities, role playing and lots of active play along the award-winning FIT trail.
Stargazing on the Beach
Wednesday August 28
Join stargazer Doug Kranz on the boardwalk for a late-evening scan of the night sky. View the constellations through his telescope for a hands-on astronomy lesson under the stars.
Wolf Howl
Saturday August 31
7:00pm to 10:30pm
Join author and naturalist Michael Runtz for an excellent slideshow about wolves before heading into Algonquin Park where we will attempt to get a response from a wild wolf pack.
