Once a year, when the stars reach a particular alignment, the spirits of those who have lived and worked along the Little Bonnechere River return to these shores once again. You'll meet voyageurs and surveyors, lumberjacks and pioneers who called the Bonnechere Valley home over centuries.
Passport to the Past
Saturday August 24

Stroll the grounds of the Davenport Centre on an exploration of discovery as you examine the tools, trades and lifestyles of early Canadian pioneers. Learn how the First Nations and European settlers depended on the land and water in order to survive.

Learn how Active Transportation (AT) can increase the health and well-being of your family, your community and the environment. Our new AT interpretive program features experiential activities, role playing and lots of active play along the award-winning FIT trail.
Stargazing on the Beach

Join stargazer Doug Kranz on the boardwalk for a late-evening scan of the night sky. View the constellations through his telescope for a hands-on astronomy lesson under the stars.
Wolf Howl

Join author and naturalist Michael Runtz for an excellent slideshow about wolves before heading into Algonquin Park where we will attempt to get a response from a wild wolf pack.
