Cooper River Bridge Run April 5th

If the outdoors is what captures your fancy, join the thousands of others that come for the annual Cooper River Bridge Run on April 5th. A whole day devoted to fitness and charity, the bridge run features everything from a 10K for the more advanced runner to a 40-60 minute run for the people who crave a fun run! The event also features a short distance kids run in the beautiful nearby Hampton Park making this a perfect event for the whole family to attend! 27th Annual Blessing of the Fleet April 27th

A safe and prosperous shrimping season is the sentiment of this community-supported benediction that dishes up fresh seafood and showcases local crafts. The Annual Blessing of the Fleet is a Charleston favorite. Live music, local crafts, kids activities, a boat parade, a ceremonial blessing of the shrimp/fishing fleet, and lots of seafood will be present. The Garden Club of Charleston's 79th Annual Walking Tour of Private Houses & Gardens includes some of Charleston's finest houses and gardens in Historic District, and will feature flowers arranged by members of The Garden Club of Charleston. Refreshments will be served in a lovely Charleston Garden. All proceeds benefit The Garden Club of Charleston's continuing projects which include maintaining the gardens at some of Charleston's most historic treasures.
