Share Your Birthday
You Helped Claire

Happy Birthday Bo! Instead of gifts for Bo's 1st Birthday, his parents decided to turn his celebration into a pajama drive. Now, thanks to Bo, we have over 20 pajamas for our foster children. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Herring for showing us how to be servants of God and taking care of his children in need!

You can be like Bo, and share your birthday with the children's home too! It's a wonderful way to celebrate your life and all the blessings God has given you! If you would like more information on how you can Share your Day contact Robyn Burchfield at Rburchfield@mchms.or or 601-853-5000 ext. 1255.

Claire's story was one that touched our hearts the most this year. When she arrived at the children's home she was scared and had little to no confidence at all. She was placed in one of our group homes, but after a few weeks, we knew that she would flourish with one of our foster families.

After finding the perfect family, Claire's confidence and personality began to really shine.
When we received the family's Christmas card this year, I could hardly recognize Claire. She was in the center of the family photo with everyone's arms around her. Her smile was contagious! This little girl with no confidence had joined the cheerleading team and happiness was written all over her face. God bless this foster family for giving Claire a forever home!

Gift of Reading

Join us in our February call to prayer. Everyday during February a different prayer will be posted on our Facebook wall to guide you on how to cover the children's home in prayer.

"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12

Thanks to the Mississippi Library Commission for giving us the "Gift of Reading!" The Mississippi Library Commission provided 18 Kindles and 39 books to our homes last month. Each kindle was loaded with age appropriate books that our youth absolutely love.

Reading is a passion for many of our youth and now they have the books. We love the Mississippi Library Commission!

Rowell Boys Home Van
Free Personal Estate-Planning Tool Workbook

One of our special donors in Starkville donated stock to the Methodist Children's Homes for the purchase of a van for the Rowell Home for Boys. We only need one more mini van and we can open the Rowell home to 10 young boys.
