A free public forum with polar explorer Will Steger and Fresh Energy's J. Drake Hamilton.
Minnesota is on a clean energy path that is bringing benefits to human health and our air, water, and natural resources.

6 PM Potluck Supper 7 PM Music, Readings, Inspirational Stories, and Sing-a long and maybe a little dancing.
Bring a dish to pass and bring your own beverage. You may want your own lawn chair. This event is free and open to the public.

The Meander Art Crawl is right around the corner
Weekend of October 4th through the 6th through the Upper Minnesota River Valley
The award winning Meander is a free self-guided tour of artist studios featuring 45 local artists from the Upper Minnesota River Valley. This event has more than 33 individual studios in and near the Western Minnesota Communities of Ortonville, Appleton, Madison, Milan, Dawson, Montevideo and Granite Falls. Meander Opening Night on Friday, October 4th, Downtown Granite Falls, MN
- 4 PM poetry reading by students from the Montevideo Schools under the direction of author and poet Florence Dacey of Cottonwood, Minnesota.
- Florence Dacey will read poetry and tell tales of her recent visit to Ireland. Sponsored by Clean Up the River Environment (CURE).
- Granite Area Arts Council will host an exhibit in the K.K. Berge Gallery that features a variety of Meander Artists. Visitors to the Gallery will see a representative sample of work from 20 of the 45 artists who are involved in the Meander Arts Crawl. Reception is sponsored by Clean Up the River Environment (CURE).
- Put on your poodle skirts! PlaceBase Productions will create an original, interactive "walking theater" production in downtown Granite Falls, highlighting the history of Main Street and the community's revered 'Saturday Nights' of the 1940s and 50s.
- A twenty-one piece big band, as well as a few other surprises!
