Advantage Academy partners with Rotary Club of Grand Prairie to form Interact Club

In an effort to continue to prepare students for college, Advantage Academy began its first on-campus Dual Credit class in partnership with Mountain View College, this past August. Fifteen students are currently taking College English, which is the students first step towards acquiring college credits. The class is free to all qualifying high school students.
Advantage Academyis in discussion with Mountain View to begin a second Dual Credit class next semester, which will incorporate Government. Angela McDonald, the Superintendent, stated, "Our goal is to continue to provide more and more opportunities to our high school students on our HS campus and this is a great step towards that goal."

Advantage Academy is excited to announce the purchase of a new building and property located at 300 West Pioneer Parkway in Grand Prairie, Texas.
This campus will be renovated in several phases with phase I opening August 2015. This campus will be home to our High School students. The district purchased over 11 acres of land and all facilities on the site.
The state's school financial accountability rating system, ensures that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve those practices.
The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to better manage their financial resources to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.
Gifted & Talented Program
Advantage Academy has started their Gifted & Talented Program for elementary students. Dr. Katherine Stover is developing the program this year and hopes to expand it each year. Click here to read more about this program on our website.
