It was a treat having Denny Smith as our guest speaker at our Annual Dinner meeting in April.  Denny is a long-time friend to our industry and our organization.  His wit and insight are second to none.  Thanks so much for joining us, Denny.

I'm sure everyone who attended our dinner was glad they came.  What a great opportunity to get together and to honor some of our associate members who have served our industry faithfully for so many years.  The Greater Indianapolis PHCC was delighted to honor Gary Bynum, Mike Kavanaugh, and Steve Richards by adding their names to the distinguished list of Esprit de Corps inductees.  One of the reasons we are successful as contractors and as an association is the relationship we have with our suppliers.  We have established the Esprit de Corps Associate Awards to honor those who have devoted their careers to this industry.  Their names have been added to a plaque along with the others we have honored in the past; the plaque is displayed at the Mechanical Skills School.

We were also privileged to recognize Bill Fite of Fite Plumbing as the 2015 GIPHCC Contractor of the Year.  Bill comes from a long line of plumbers and has represented our industry well.  Bill currently serves as the Vice President on the GIPHCC Board of Directors.  Congratulations, Bill.

I hope you are planning on joining us for the annual golf outing on May 28th.  This is a great time to connect with your fellow contractors and associate members.  This event promises to be a great time for all.  I look forward to seeing you there.

May 7th Central Supply Hog Roast/Vendor Trade Show

Indianapolis Winsupply will be hosting its Annual Pig Roast Luncheon on May 12 from 11 AM to 1 PM at their store located at 340 Transfer Drive in Indianapolis. Attendance is free--and so is the food! As always, there will be drawings, door prizes, and great food. Additionally, this year the Pig Roast is doubling as a fundraiser to help plumber Tommy Thomas, who has been battling cancer for over a year. Donations will be accepted during the luncheon, and can also be made online at www.gofundme.com/helptommythomas.
