Message From The President

Dave NanceThank you again to Ken Armstrong with Energizing Indiana for taking time to educate us about the many programs they have available.
After the regular lunch meeting, a meeting was held regarding continuing our campaign with WTHR/SkyTrak.  This is the " Hire a Licensed Plumber; It's the Law" campaign that GIPHCC has been running for 7-8 years with state and national attention.  I have participated in this program, and I believe it to be important to continue with this campaign.  It has made a difference through educating the public along with the FLAG (Find the License, Attorney General) program.  Both of these programs benefit the industry as a whole.  Would you like to see it continue?  Is it stale, do we need a new, fresh program?  Do you care?  Yes, It does cost money and we are looking at ways to make it fit your budget.  Will you take the time to contact me or a board member and give us your opinion?
November 6th is Election Day.  VOTE!
November 14th is our annual Vendor Expo; please reserve your booth space today!
Also at our November meeting we will be honoring four associate members who have contributed to GIPHCC through the years.  Thank you, gentlemen.
Well done is better than well said.  Benjamin Franklin

November: a Time to Help Others
November is a Time to be Thankful and to Participate
Nov. 6th is Election Day.  Regardless of our political affiliation, we all should exercise our right to vote.
Nov. 11th is Veterans Day  This is the day we honor our living veterans.  In Sept. GIPHCC gave $100 to support the Wounded Warrior project in Kokomo.  The finish of the project is November 10th.  Financial support of this project is critical and needed asap.  Checks can be made out to Homes for Wounded Warriors Program with "Kokomo Project" in the memo line.  Send checks to Dave Heffner, Heffner Plumbing, 8050 Winterset Circle, Indianapolis 46214.
Nov.22 is Thanksgiving.   You can bring canned goods to the Nov. 14th Expo.  They will be donated to a local food pantry.  Dave suggests that if you and your company are looking for a holiday project pre-Christmas, you might look into Jordan's Place, Brownsburg; they are having a big event in December to support foster children and can use clothing and other items.  Check out their web site.
News of Note

SkyTrak 2013 Interest: Those interested in participating in 2013 SkyTrak and its benefits, please contact Dave Nance or Laura Ciriello-Benedict. SkyTrak  resulted in Channel 13 sting operation and helped make the public aware of "Use a Licensed Plumber; It's the Law" in addition to giving participants advertising on On Demand movies.

Also, Check out our web site at www.giphcc.com; there is ad space available for a very reasonable rate.  Contact either Kevin O'Kane or Eugene Schuler for more details on this opportunity.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Nov. 14th--Vendors Expo, Primo South, 2nd Wed. of month rather than 3rd due to Thanksgiving.

There may be a dinner meeting in December at Primo South.  More details later.
