First and foremost, if your chapter receives any communication/letter from the IRS, please forward it to your National Treasurer.

Blessings to all chapter treasurers, who take on a "daunting" task in our organization.  This is often one of the most difficult and demanding responsibilities (other than cheeseball chairman!).  This is your time of the year.  Please contact your District Officer, or me, with any questions or concerns in regards to the PCR.

Last year the NP-20 form was added, for Indiana chapters to complete and submit with the 2 ORIGINAL copies of the Signature page, to your District Officer.

• Please make sure to complete the NP-20, dated May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2014. 
• If possible, put - "Psi Iota Xi, Your Chapter Name Chapter" as the organization
• Please include your correct Tax ID number, and your Indiana tax ID number if you know it.
• Make sure to sign the bottom portion and complete the address and contact information INCLUDING PHONE NUMBER

Many chapters are receiving a copy of their Indiana NP-20 form from the Indiana Department of Revenue. Of course, there is no need to complete two. Just make sure one complete copy gets submitted to your District Officer. She will compile the entire District and forward them to the National Treasurer, who will submit them all together, with annual tax paperwork submitted by our accounting firm.      

Other very important contributions are the two pages listing current officers and the "Bright Ideas" page.  Your chapter could win recognition at Convention due to information you include on the "Bright Ideas" page.

This Spring National Council would like to begin collecting copies of ALL Chapter's Bylaws.  This is another requirement, along with the NP-20 (for IN chapters) in complying with ever-changing IRS regulations.  Please send an electronic copy of your Bylaws AND/OR Standing Rules to either of the emails listed below.  If your chapter has chosen to use the National Bylaws as your Bylaws, you should still have Standing Rules that pertain to your chapter specifically.  The first Standing Rule would then be something stating, "____ Chapter of Psi Iota Xi has approved (or adopted) the National Bylaws as our chapter Bylaws."  Thank you to those chapters who have already submitted theirs!  If you are unable to email a copy, please mail them to the address below, as I will be taking on that task next year, as your National Vice President.
