The Cathedral Choir Development Fund is offering fresh ribbon-tied balsam wreaths, along with other new items to make your home beautiful for Christmas.  
 
Please order by November 17th, and make checks payable to CCDF.
Pick up on Saturday, December 5th at 10am to Noon at the Cathedral House located at 50 Cathedral Ave, Garden City, NY.

Thanksgiving Food Drive 
As a supplement to the year-round food collection announced previously, this year's Thanksgiving Food Drive will also benefit St. George's Church Food Pantry in Hempstead, NY. Our goal is to provide as many struggling families as possible with the food items needed to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal:

- Instant mashed potatoes
- Gravy
- Boxed stuffing mix
- 2-3 Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, etc.)
- Canned cranberry sauce
- Corn muffin or bread mix
- Pasta and jarred sauce, or boxed Mac'n'cheese dinners
  AND/OR 
- Whole turkeys or chickens, which are also in high demand 
 
Flyers with the checklist of requested food items will be available at the main entrance of the Cathedral beginning this Sunday, November 8th. Nonperishable items may be left at the main entrance and will be collected on Sundays from November 8th through November 22nd. PLEASE NOTE: Fresh or frozen turkeys and chickens may only be dropped off at the Cathedral on Sunday November 22nd between the hours of 7:30am and 12:30pm due to storage limitations. Food may also be dropped off at Cathedral House during the weekdays from 10am until 12:00pm and from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

2015 Adopt-a-Family Program details announced
The deadline for submitting adoption forms for the 2015 Adopt-a-Family program through St. John's Episcopal Hospital has been extended to the first week of December. For more information and to download forms please click here. Thank you for your support.
Save the Date
Conversations in Scripture will meet this Wednesday, November 18th-Join us as we take a closer look at the "Faith of our Mothers". This six week series will provide us with a feminine narrative of the Old Testament from some of its most notable women. Add your voice to the conversation. We meet each Wednesday at Mercer School of Theology from 7-8:30pm. 
 
The Wellness Committee Members will be meeting this Sunday, November 15th at 10:30am and will not walk on this day. We will resume the walk on Sunday, November, 22nd. 

The Council Meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:00pm in the Stewart Room of Cathedral House.
