Marc Fitton

I am a lifelong Episcopalian and New Yorker having been born in New York City and being baptized at The Chapel of the Intercession in Washington Heights and confirmed at Holyrood Episcopal Church in Washington Heights.  My family moved to Queens in 1969 where we attended St. Gabriel's Church in Hollis.

I have been attending the Cathedral of the Incarnation since the early 1990's.  My wife Danielle and I were married by Canon Anthony Cayless in 1996.  We have 3 children, who were all baptized at the Cathedral, Matthew who is 15 and twins Amanda and Ryan who are 8.  I am active this year in teaching the 7th grade J to A program.  I am a Cub Scout leader for my son Ryan's den pack.  I am employed at AT&T in Huntington New York as a Service Executive managing large business accounts.  My family and I now reside in the hamlet of East Northport in the town of Huntington.

Al Kohart

I am a lifelong Episcopalian and a lifelong member of the Cathedral Congregation.  I am in regular attendance at the 8 o'clock service.  I just became a challis administrator. Work at the Memorial Day Fair selling hot dogs, and help to decorate the Cathedral for Christmas and Easter.

Outside of church, seven years ago I started a second career as a real estate sales person for Daniel Gale/Sotheby's Inter nation.  Before that I spent 30 plus year at ABC Television Networks in the Financial Department. I have survived two mergers and move from coast to coast. I love the Cathedral and want to see it survive not only the physical buildings but the parish grow both in numbers and in outreach to the community.

Devin McKay

I have been a member of the Cathedral since 2012 when I was baptized at the Easter Vigil. I am a librarian, a full Professor, at Queensborough Community College, City University of New York, where I have worked since 1990. I have two grown children. The longer I am at the Cathedral, the more involved I have become and wish to be.

I am a Lector, an Acolyte, a soon-to-be LEM, a member of the Altar Guild and an occasional usher. I am also responsible for the ROTA, assigning Lectors and LEMs. The Cathedral congregation is comprised of wonderful people, many of whom, I consider my family. Next year I will begin a phased retirement and I expect to spend a great deal more time at the Cathedral, serving in whatever way I am needed.  I am very blessed and grateful to be able to call the Cathedral of the Incarnation my spiritual home.

Kathaleen Mercer

My family (husband Greg, daughter Nicole) and I joined the Cathedral of the Incarnation when we moved to Garden City in 1999. Our goal was to find a church with strong music and liturgical programs in a beautiful space and a community that was welcoming. We found all of that at the Cathedral. Our decision to join the Cathedral was re-affirmed as Nicole participated in the Journey to Adulthood and Confirmation Program. It helped her to build towards her own commitment to her faith. Over the years, I have deepened my commitment to the Cathedral Family. I am a member of the Schola Cantorum, the Altar Guild and the Prayer Shawl ministry. I have also run the ticket booth for the Memorial Day Fair for the several years. Finally, I am a member of the newly formed Dean Search Committee.

In my day-to-day life, I am a Senior Vice President with The NPD Group, Inc. a market information company. I have been with NPD for almost 30 years, including a part-time stint during the 2&1/2 years that we lived in Graz, Austria when Greg was a tenor soloist with the Graz Opera. We currently live in West Hempstead.

Elizabeth Schumacher

My husband, Kris, and I joined the Cathedral congregation in 2006, a decision we are very glad to have made. Our daughter, Saera, and son, James, were welcomed into the church family in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

I have been blessed to be able to spend the last several years at home with our children, though my previous professional experience ranges from the arts to nonprofit outreach services to education. I am currently volunteering as an ESL instructor through a local nonprofit organization, an experience which has proven incredibly rewarding. At the Cathedral, I have served as a lector since 2007, and I am honored to have now been chosen for the search committee for the new Dean.

George Tietjen

My wife Pamela and I have attended the Cathedral of the Incarnation since 1997 when our daughter Kaitlin joined the Girls Choir.  I am a Portfolio Manager with a New York based real estate investment management company and have been with the firm for 25 years. We reside in Floral Park, New York. During our time with the Cathedral, I served one term on Cathedral Council and was a member of the verger corps for a number of years. I also serve on the Board of Managers of Camp DeWolfe.

Carolyn Ver Pault

I joined the Cathedral in the spring of 2010 when my daughter Mia joined the Girls Choir. During the Easter Vigil this year, I was received and my older daughter, Mikayla was baptized. I am a science teacher at the Waldorf School of Garden City, a member of the Diversity Committee and I am the advisor to the Gay-Straight Alliance, the Community Service Club and the class of 2019. At the Cathedral, I am an usher and lector and am in training with Father Michael to be a Eucharistic minister.  I also serve on the Cathedral Choir Development Fund board and enjoy volunteering at choir events and the Memorial Day Fair.
