CAN YOU HEAR THE BAGPIPES?

Hold onto your potatoes lads and lassies -the 36th Annual Westport St Patrick's Day Run is fast approaching! Kick off your St. Patrick's Day celebration with a 4 Mile shindy through the streets of Westport. This walk/run is richer than a pot of gold, intenser than a hurling match, and more exciting than Colin Farrell in a kilt

Sign up in the next 12 days for only $25 ($22 for KCTC Members)! Get your friends together for our Centipede or Competitive Team Competition! And be sure to bring the kids for our Little Shamrock Kids Run!

All participants will receive a commemorative long sleeve race shirt, free photos, live results, unforgettable aid stations, local drink specials, and more! Plus, NEW THIS YEAR, everyone gets one of those sleek finisher medals featured above!

Join us on Saturday, March 15th, and sleep in as the race doesn't start until 10 AM! May the luck of the Irish be with you!

BARTENDER, I'LL TAKE ANOTHER

brew to brew guy
Kansas City's favorite relay is filling up quickly! Sign up your team today for Brew to Brew! This race consists of ten legs of varying distance that take you from Boulevard Brewery in KC to Free State Brewery in Lawrence! The undaunted will take on this 44 mile challenge single-handed. The social will gather a group of up to ten friends. Any number of teammates is allowable though.

Not up for 44 miles? Do the Six Leg Special! Our six leg special consists of only the first six legs of the Brew to Brew course, ending in Linwood. We will have a band, pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more waiting for those who are finished after six legs!

BREAK OUT THAT RED DRESS

KCTC's Annual Dress in Red Run is coming up on Feburary 12th! This Wednesday Night Run favorite gives you the opportunity to break out that pretty little number you save just for special occasions. No doubt the women will look stunning in their dresses, but we have a feeling that the men will be turning all the heads this night (thrift stores, beware)! This great event is hosted once again by our friends of the Kansas City Express. Besides looking good, the purpose of this run is to raise money and awareness for heart disease.

Date: Wednesday, February 12th
Time: 6 PM
Location:
3950 Genessee
Kansas City, MO

MARATHON BOB

If you participated in a marathon in 2013, chances are good that KCTC Ambassador Bob Schluben was also running in the race. Bob achieved his goal to run a marathon every week for the entire year in order to raise awareness for the Sunflower House and the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (SAFE). Bob completed his 52nd marathon in November at the Gobbler Grind in Overland Park but true to his word, continued to run a marathon the next 5 weekends to finish off the year, bringing his total for 2013 to 57 marathons! Congratulations Bob! We were so glad to be able to follow your journey. As a bonus, Bob also found time this year to fetch thousands of donated cups from a vendor so you can thank Bob when you see all the cups at the KCTC events! Way to go, friend!

After completing his final marathon, Bob said, "I ran the 3 Bridges Marathon in Little Rock Arkansas this morning. This was my final marathon for 2013. At the start of this year, I set a goal to run a marathon every weekend for the entire year. Today, I completed that goal. I wanted to thank everyone who believed in me and supported me throughout the year. It was a great journey!"
