Chances are good that you have little going on between the hours of 6 and 9 AM on most Saturdays and Sundays, KCTC is here to help you fill that time slot! Help contribute to many great charity events and give back to the running community at the same time. These races are looking for volunteers and are each supported by KCTC. Consider donating a few hours. Without volunteers, races don't happen!
Please contact kctcrunner@gmail.com if interested!
As the weather seems to finally be warming up and snow melts away (snow ...in May), it's time to kick that training in to high gear. Be sure to join us for Tuesdays on the Track at Shawnee Mission East and get in a little speedwork! These sessions, led by certified coach John Carstens, are free to Track Club members and are sure to help you achieve that illusive time goal of yours, regardless of the distance you are training for. Everyone is welcome! No need to be elite coming in. You'll sure feel elite at the end of it though. The sessions are divided into groups based on your skill/comfort level. We meet every Tuesday at 5:45pm.

We will be enjoying indoor AND outdoor seating, brats, pizza, and beer (hence the "Brew'). Be sure to save June 18th on your calendar if you like having fun.

The Summer Series began last week with the Hospital Hill Run. That means that 10,000 of you are already 1/3 of the way done with the Series! Participants of any distance will receive credit.  To win one of our great prize packs that includes free clothing, race entries, etc., all you have to do is participate in three series events (run, walk, or volunteer). Be sure to stay tuned to our website and future e-mails as we are finalizing the details for what all that Series will entail. Just expect lots of great events and lots of free prizes.
