Since November 26, major bushfires in the lower north region of South Australia are impacting postal services.
Post office closures
The following outlets are currently closed due to impacts from the bushfires and subsequent power and communication outages.
- Greenock LPO
- Hamley Bridge LPO
- Mallala LPO
- Stockport CPA
- Tarlee CPA
- Wasleys LPO (Destroyed in bushfire - closed until further notice
Temporary alternative delivery arrangements have been made for residents of Wasleys. All mail items for local residents will be held at the Roseworthy LPO at 4 Railway Terrace, Roseworthy, S.A. 5371.
Mail and parcel delivery cancellations
Delivery to the following postcodes has been cancelled due to unsafe conditions and road closures:
- Hamley Bridge (5401)
- Mallala (5502)
- Owen (5460)
- Riverton (5412)
- Saddleworth (5413)
- Stockport (5410)
- Tarlee (5411)
- Wasleys (5400)
Mail and parcel delivery in surrounding areas will only be attempted where it's accessible and safe to do so.
