From the Executive Director:
MISBO partnered with Tennessee Association of Independent Schools (TAIS) last week to present the first joint Business Officer Conference in Nashville, TN. This gathering of nearly 50 people was a great opportunity for business officers (and one Head of School) to spend about 24 hours together exploring the questions about the future of education and our schools, the challenges that are inherent when there is a transition of the Head of School, as well as how to manage the risks our schools face with rapidly expanding international travel. Our three speakers: Grant Lichtman, Chip Broadway, and Eric Harley provided the attendees with much to contemplate as they went back to their schools.
One of the most interesting conversations was around the question of "Who is your customer?" This is a surprisingly difficult question...

Adobe Creative Cloud for Education
MISBO has been working with Adobe and CDWG to bring our member schools a program for the Adobe Creative Cloud for Education. This is an enterprise term licensing agreement (ETLA) that is a 3-year annual term that will require an FTE commitment from MISBO schools.
Adobe is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:00 am ET for MISBO members to provide additional details and answer any questions. Follow this link to register.
If you are using or have been considering using Adobe at your school, we would strongly encourage you to attend the webinar. Higher participation in this program will offer a great savings for our MISBO members.

Electronic Resources
MISBO's Electronic Resources program is gearing up for ordering season. Please note the relevant dates below:
- Trial Sites are open and can be found here.
- The portal will open for orders in April. Please note that this year's authorization process will be different from last year. More details will be provided soon.
- The first volume deadline for orders is May 31st.
Visit our trial site page to learn about new product offerings, but remember the portal is undergoing yearly pricing and product updates and will not yet display the correct pricing for your budgeting purposes. Please wait until the portal opens for true and correct pricing information for the 2014-2015 school year.
