From the Executive Director:
Dear Colleagues,
I recently discussed a bit from the new book "Mind The Gap!" by Dr. Richard J. Soghoian. I was in New York City this week and had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Soghoian and had a personal tour of his amazing school - Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School - the oldest non-sectarian private school in the United States. Dr. Soghoian is very proud (rightfully so) of what has been accomplished during his tenure as Headmaster beginning in 1981. MISBO is honored to have Dr. Soghoian as our keynote speaker on Tuesday at the 2013 MISBO-SAIS Annual Conference. Dr. Soghoian will talk about his thoughts on a sustainable financial model for independent schools - perhaps a bit different from what you have heard others discuss. See more about the conference in this newsletter. Registration is now open - see you in October.

Electronic Resources Ordering System
MISBO's NEW Electronic Resources Ordering System is off to a great start! Be sure your school submits their orders in before the new school year kicks off to take advantage of a lower volume fee.
Items of Note:
- Be sure the appropriate person at your school receives this information so they can get their orders in ASAP to receive the best member volume fee.
- For correct pricing to be displayed in your online shopping cart, your school's FTE (student count by grade level) must be entered first. This can be updated under "School Profile".
Please note the following volume fee deadlines for Electronic Resources:
- August 31st - 5%
- December 31st - 7%
Most importantly, if you have any problems logging in and/or shopping at www.misboonline.com, please contact Dianne Sagaas, Director, Professional Development and Member Services at 404.921.3812 or at diannesagaas@misbo.com.
