"A Tribute to Pat Bassett"
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the tremendous contributions of Pat Bassett, President, National Association Independent Schools (NAIS) during his 12 year tenure at NAIS and during his 42 year long career with independent schools. Pat (@PatBassett) is leaving his position at NAIS as of the end of June. I did not use 'retiring' because during a recent breakfast that Pat and I shared he told me about some of his plans for the coming year and none of that would indicate a person heading into retirement...

Electronic Resources Ordering System
Before you leave for the summer, be sure to place your order for your school's Electronic Resources with MISBO's NEW Electronic Resources Ordering System! Please understand this new system is for Electronic Resources ONLY (library databases, digital content, etc.) Our regular vendor contracts can still be found here, and if logged into our member portal, you will find appropriate instructions for each vendor on how to identify yourself as a MISBO member to receive member pricing.
Items of Note:
- Be sure the appropriate person at your school receives this information so they can get their orders in ASAP to receive the best member volume fee.
- For correct pricing to be displayed in your online shopping cart, your school's FTE (student count by grade level) must be entered first. This can be updated under "School Profile".
Please note the following volume fee deadlines for Electronic Resources:
- August 31st - 5%
- December 31st - 7%

Microsoft EES with CDW-G
 Please note that the deadline for renewing or starting a new Microsoft EES Agreement was June 1st. Orders to CDW-G are due immediately in order to ensure that you don't miss your chance to renew at the MISBO discount and in order to remain in compliance with the terms and conditions of your enrollment. If you have any concerns about getting your purchase order to CDW-G by tomorrow, June 7, please let yourCDW-G account manager know your ETA so they can offer appropriate guidance. Georgia Natural Gas Changes
 Since a good majority of our Georgia member schools partner with Georgia Natural Gas, we wanted to share some recent changes at the company with you. Wendy Ho has recently left the organization to pursue another professional opportunity. We are assured that our members will experience a seamless transition during this change.

 With the recent changes at Adobe, and their new licensing offerings, we are offering our members a detailed information sheet just from Adobe. We strongly encourage all our member schools to review the material below and contact Kathy Traynor at Adobe at (206) 675-7498 or at ktraynor@adobe.com with any questions.
Please be sure to note the important bullet points on page two along with the ordering dates, a link to make an interest pledge and links to the recorded webinars. Remember, as with all MISBO contracts, more commitment from more member schools will benefit everyone on pricing.

New Member Referral Program
 The deadline is closing in on MISBO's New Member Referral Program. For any new member school referred to MISBO through June 30, 2013, the current member AND the new member will receive a $100 credit towards MISBO's 2013 Annual Conference - The Global Future: Preparing Students and Shaping Schools. We already have new members thanks to our existing members!

Membership Renewal
Membership renewal invoices were mailed last week to our member schools. Please note these renewals are based on the student count we have on record for your school. If your numbers are expected to be different for the 2013-2014 school year, please adjust your invoice accordingly and submit the appropriate payment.
