From the Executive Director:
Dear Colleagues,
As I was drinking my coffee and reading the Sunday morning paper a few weeks ago, I came across this article which reminded me of a promise I made to myself to remember the name of just ONE victim of the tragedy at Newtown. As a country we may be divided over the issues of gun control and dealing with the rising tide of mental illness, but as educators, we can be united in our mission to keep our children and our schools safe. This is a list of the victims from Newtown - the one you choose is not important, but consider choosing one name that you will remember so this tragedy and their lives can help others.
On the two month anniversary of this horrific event, I thank you for keeping the victims of Newtown not only in your minds, but also in your hearts this Valentine's Day.
Sincerely,
Marc
