Commit

Commit your way to The Lord; trust in Him and here's what He will do:  He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun (Psalm 37: 5, 6)

I hear that people today are afraid of making commitments.  I sort of get it - been burned once, leery of getting burned again.  But, on further reflection, it's commitment that leads to really good things!  Commitment to marriage (real, genuine, honest-to-goodness commitment) leads to fulfillment, joy, freedom, pleasure, caring.  Commitment to friendships leads to lasting camaraderie, self knowledge (we see ourselves through the lens of others), kindness.  And David reminds us that commitment to God leads to solid grounding, certain footing, a sense of knowing that what one is doing is right, and that is a priceless thing when done with humility.

Commit, trust and then step back and watch God work on your behalf.  You'll be amazed, truly you will!

Love and prayers, Dan
