Dear Trinity Family,
Jan and I will be in Nashville this weekend to celebrate (and perform) the marriage ceremony of Jan's niece. It will be a wonderful family time together, but we will be back the following Sunday, as we are aware that the Sundays we have left to be together are becoming fewer and fewer. We hope to see some of you tonight for Jessica Harland-Jacobs' lecture on the "Easter Rising, The Road to Irish Independence;" and remember, Chancel Choir member, Timeelah Adamson is performing this weekend in the Phillips Center's production of La Boheme.
As you may have read in my Daily Scripture E-mail yesterday, Martha Copeland, beloved wife and mother, passed into eternal life and eternal peace on Sunday evening surrounded by her family. There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Mon., April 18 at 2:00 PM in Trinity's Worship Center, with a reception to follow.
Also, we share the sudden passing of young Daniel Maico, who grew up here at Trinity and has, for the past three years, been teaching English in China. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Trinity's Worship Center on Sat, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow.
Love and prayers, Dan |

A Message from Rev. AaronEmail | Blog | Twitter Friends, I am in Jamaica this week on mission. Please continue to keep our team in your prayers. Kimberly Webster will be preaching at Wednesday's 6:35 service in Trinity Chapel (thanks, Kimberly!). I'm sure you won't want to miss it. Also, on Thursday, Lenora will be facilitating The Marriage Course without me. She will be just fine (of course!) so if anything, pray that she at least misses having me there!Grace and peace, Aaron

MissionsTed Grueser
- This week's Mission Box is for Young Life Gainesville. Young Life is a world-class organization for adolescents. The staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them - fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, they earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we think matters most of all - the truth about God and His love for them.
- Please remember to keep in your prayers the mission team from Trinity serving in Jamaica this week. The team is building a home for Yvonne, a single mom with two teenage children 19 and 16. Please pray that this family will see Christ's love through us this week and how God can use us in amazing ways.
- WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! April 24-30, Trinity will be taking a team back to El Salvador to drill a well with Living Water. If you are interested in being a part of this great opportunity please contact Ted ASAP. There are scholarships available so don't let money stop you from taking advantage of God using you in the world.
- Family Promise families will be making Trinity their home from April 17 - 23. It takes many volunteers to set-up, prepare meals, be evening hosts, overnight hosts and help in other ways. Consider becoming involved by contact Marilyn Clugston or Linda Meling
- Celebrate the Moms in your life by helping other mothers give their children a better start. Consider making a gift to the future SWAG Child Center in her memory or honor. Order forms will be available at all 3 services on April 17 & 24. For more information contact Dorothy Thomas. SWAG's Child Center will be a quality early learning center for 50-100 low-income children (0-5) in SWAG neighborhoods and will provide comprehensive child care, early education and resources in a safe and healthy learning environment.

Faith MissionWard Simonton- This week's update is a book recommendation - Blindspot by Banaji and Greenwald. We all have biases; we all make the mistake of stereotyping other people at times; and it seems to be in our DNA to be this way. Blindspot, subtitled 'Hidden Biases of Good People' and based on decades of research, demonstrates how our minds can hold biases that we aren't aware of rationally and how this impacts our actions and behavior with others. These 'under the radar' biases that we hold - whether race, sex, faith, socioeconomic, ... - almost always have strongly negative impacts, both on the person with the bias and on those it is directed towards. Strongly negative. Our minds are complex, and this book helps us become more aware of biases we may hold, and how we can use our new awareness to 'change our minds.' Sounds like repenting, doesn't it (with a reference to Sister Hazel too)!
