Dear Friends,
Please continue to pray for Dan and Ted while they are away at the West Africa Theological Seminary in Lagos, Nigeria. They return Saturday.
Here are several things I'd like you to know as we begin the month of March: - Join us tomorrow night for our weekly Wednesday night supper beginning at 5:30pm and then stay for our Lenten series in the Worship Center at 6:30. Our guest preacher this week is Rev. David Dodge.
- This Sunday, March 6th, is Sonlight Sunday and they have a very special service planned, "I AM the good shepherd." These outstanding youth will be leading us in worship at all three services.
- Register by March 8th for two special events happening next weekend. Friday, March 11 - The Bible in 100 Minutes with Beth Demme, 6 to 8pm, $10. Saturday March 12th - A very special women's event, again with Beth Demme, #WomenLivingUnfiltered - 8am to 1pm, $25.
- We will be celebrating a Passover Seder again this year, Thursday, March 24, beginning at 6pm. $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, children ages 0-4 free. Reservations are required, so please contact Alice Wallis for tickets. We anticipate this dinner selling out.
- Finally, Lenora and I will be co-leading The Marriage Course on Thursday evenings, March 31 to May 19, from 6-8:30pm. You're invited to experience eight focused-date nights for you and your spouse to enjoy a delicious meal and private conversation - aimed at helping you grow closer together. Register here, cost is $110, and includes all meals and childcare.
I pray Lenten blessings continue to be with you all and that you have an awesome week!
Grace and peace be with you, Rev. Aaron |

MissionsTed Grueser
- This week's Mission Box is for Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida. Childhood illness is an immensely difficult and stressful time for a family. The ability for families to stay together and be near their sick children can mean the world during this stressful time. Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida provides this opportunity to thousands of families who travel to Gainesville, Florida each year to take advantage of the medical expertise at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital.
- Mark Your Calendars. The Spring Yard Sale will be Saturday, April 2
- A community needs your help! April 24-30, Trinity will be taking a team back to El Salvador to drill a well with Living Water. If you are interested in being a part of this great opportunity please contact Ted. There are limited spots available so act fast. There are scholarships available so don't let money stop you from taking advantage of God using you in the world.

Faith MissionWard Simonton
-
Our community is blessed with organizations whose programs and initiatives will deeply benefit the Gainesville area including Faith Mission's neighborhood, and this week I want to highlight three -
-
Peaceful Paths - Check out their new Stick up 4 Change Facebook page highlighting violence prevention and building and restoring healthy relationships. Peaceful Paths brings their expertise to Kids Count through a weekly community outreach program.
-
River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding - With expertise in conflict resolution, violence prevention, and restorative justice, RPCP is having a very positive impact in our community. Youth and families in the Faith Mission neighborhood benefit from RPCP's Police/Youth Dialogues and their programs with the Dept. of Juvenile Justice.
-
Peace4Gainesville - The understanding of trauma and its impact on physical and mental health, and long term well-being, is growing. P4G is helping in many ways to build this awareness in our community. In our neighborhood, Carol Lewis, a P4Gfounder, is sharing coping and mindfulness techniques with Kids Count that the staff can incorporate with the children.
-
We at Faith Mission are thankful for the work of these organizations. Feel free to reach out to each directly if you'd like to learn about their work in our community.
