Worship: Sundays @ 8:15 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm

Dear Trinity Family,
First, remember that we have two Ash Wednesday services tomorrow: one at noon in the chapel and one at 7:00pm in the Worship Center (after our light - for Lent - Wednesday Night Dinner). Invite a friend, make it a priority. I'll be preaching from Matthew 4:1 - 11, the story of Jesus' 40 days in the desert, which will be a guide for our own Lenten journeys.
Several of you have asked who created the beautiful artwork of a Vine on the coffee shroud in the new Welcome Center. Her name is Leslie Tharp and she does blacksmith demos. You can see more on her website.
Speaking of the VINE, this Sunday I will begin our Lenten Sermon Series: "The Great 'I am's' of Jesus." And this Sunday's Sermon is on "I am the Vine" from John 15: "Abiding Love, Healing Love." Each service will conclude with time for individual prayers for healing.
If you weren't able to get a special Joshua 1:9 dog tag from the Islam family on Sunday, there are a few at the receptionist desk or you can contact the family directly through their website.
Love and prayers, Dan

A Message from Rev. Aaron
Email | Blog | TwitterFriends, If you missed the mission box this past Sunday, then I encourage you to go to my blog and read the latest post. The mission box supported Trey and Larissa Genser and their mission work in Mozambique. As you know from my recent trip to Malawi, I am passionate about what they are doing. So, I asked Larissa to write a guest entry to tell you more about it. I also want to remind you that registration is open for The Marriage Course that Lenora and I will be leading on Thursdays from March 31 - May 19, from 6 - 8:30 pm. The 8-week course requires pre-paid registration of $110, which covers the course materials and the dinner deliciousness prepared by our kitchen staff. Limited spots for childcare are available, so register now! Each session is a "date night format," beginning with the opportunity to share a meal and quiet conversation with your partner in a romantic setting. Later, you watch a DVD lesson and are then given more time for discussion. Don't worry - during the discussion time, background music is playing and your tables are spread far enough apart to ensure your privacy. Lenora and I participated in this course two years ago and it really did strengthen our marriage. Won't you join us this year? And, please, tell your friends! Grace and peace be with you this week as we begin to journey through Lent, Aaron

Thanks to those who responded to the Volunteer Opportunities in the past two weeks (and thanks to those who helped recruit). We have at least five new mentors and Kids Count volunteers! In addition to regular programming, Faith Mission has a variety of happenings this week, from planning for the monthly luncheons at Rawlings that bring mentors and students together with special speakers to installing acoustic panels in the ceiling to reduce the echo in the main building. Important items on the Faith Mission calendar include -
- February 9, 6pm - Leadership Team monthly meeting. The team of church and neighborhood members will prioritize goals for 2016 and plan on how we should expand efforts on-site and in the community.
- February 13, 3pm - Girl Scouts. This is a "Fun Day" Saturday event for five community development troops to come for activities inside and out.
