Singing Songs in the Dark

By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept... There on the poplars we hung our harps...How can we sing the songs of The Lord while in a foreign land? (Psalm 137: 1 - 4).

Did you see the amazing interview with a Father and his little boy in Paris?  The reporter asked the boy if he was afraid; he asked his father if we should be afraid?  "No."  What about the mean people, with guns?  "But we have flowers and candles," said the father, as he pointed to the huge collection of both on the Parisian street, "and we won't be afraid."  "I feel better," said the little boy, and he did.

The father was helping the boy "sing a song in a strange land,"the strange land that terrorism brought to their city.  But they would not live in fear, they would not live small or diminished, but strong and big; they will sing and pray and love, and they will not let the terrorists win.  Nor will we.
Amen.

Love and prayers, Dan
