Worship: Sundays @ 8:15 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
Dear Trinity Family,

Thank you!  Thank you to the many, many persons who made special donations to the new Welcome Center!  I know those donations were made in love and in a belief in the project, and I trust that every Sunday morning as you see people warmly welcomed to Trinity you feel a great sense of reward and satisfaction.  Again, thank you.  The Dedication of the Welcome Center this past Sunday was another highlight in the life of Trinity.

This retirement thing seems to be catching - our good friend and outstanding colleague, Rev.  David Leonard has just shared with me that he would like to "re-retire" effective this December 31.  What a joy and help and blessing David has been among us, we will have a reception for David (and Donna) in mid-December.  We are pleased that David will continue his Thursday morning Bible Study and ALERT Bible Study.  We are also pleased that Kim Lewerenz will increase her role in Adult Ministries leadership. Please read David's note below:

Part-time church jobs have a way of "growing" and mine at Trinity has done so. One hope for retirement was spending a lot more time with my family. With my energy level declining, I have decided to retire from Trinity's staff to keep that a reality. It's been a great privilege to work with Trinity's exceptionally talented and committed staff and with a loving congregation that feels like home. Thank you all for your love, support, and patience. May God bless you for it.

Given the gravity of the crisis in Syria and the fact that we have a very knowledgeable person among us in Professor Matthew Jacobs, who teaches US Policy and the Middle East, I hope many of you will come out tomorrow night - 6:45 in the worship center.  Several of us think his insights are so keen that we would like to have them shared with some of the political candidates running for President!  Oh, and come early for another of Franny's wonderful dinners - which start at 5:30.

Final call for ordering an engraved brick for the Welcome Center - no more orders after October 31.  Contact Shannon or order online.

The music at all of Trinity's worship services is so outstanding!  Thanks be to God and our hard working, committed musicians.  This Sunday our worship will center around All Saints Day, with special remembrances, lighting candles and prayers; one of the most special services of the year.  I hope to see you in worship.

Love and prayers, Dan

P.S. It's time to create your devotional for our 2015 Advent Devotional.  The theme is "Come and Worship the Newborn King."  See below for a larger explanation from Jim Cook.  Our congregation always appreciates your writing, so please do again this year.
