Like a Tree Planted by Streams of Water

I know when something isn't working and it's time to change course - so it is with my DSE: while the book I was referencing last week is a good one, it doesn't lend itself to what I want to do with the DSE's, sooooo I'm changing direction.  This Sunday we will launch a 5 part series on "Life Lessons from King David," so I've decided to use the Psalms of David as the basis for my DSE's.  These Psalms are the "streams of water" that we all come back to again and again.

Today's DSE is from Psalm 1:  "Blessed is the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of the wayward or sit in the seat of the fools.  But that person's delight is in the law (word) of The Lord, and on God's word she/he meditates day and night, and is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, but in all things prospers." (Psalm 1:1 - 3).

I want to be like that tree, don't you?  Let's begin right now by doing what this Psalm says: meditating on these first three verses in the Psalms, which are right above you.  Meditate, delight, grow, yield fruit and prosper.  That's what I want for you, too!  And so does God.

Love and prayers, Dan
