Worship: Sundays @ 8:15 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm | Fridays @ 7:00 pm
Dear Friends,

I was so proud of Sonlight this past Sunday.  With all they have going on this time of year, then to arrive at Trinity at 7:30 am to get ready for three worship services, and then to "hit the ball out of the park" in all areas: songs, Scripture, prayer, announcements, specials, and Joey's sermon (Check it out online if you weren't there)!  Oh my!

And I was so proud of YOU, our congregation, responding so enthusiastically and with such encouragement, and also generosity.  I'll let Erin tell you the specifics below in her column, but I know your financial support for them and their tour means a great deal.  For over 30 years Sonlight has been such a vital part of our life at Trinity.  Sunday showed us all that the future is amazingly bright!  Thanks so much!

We've had an outstanding first quarter of the year financially - thanks!  Check out our Church Business Administrator, Laura Richardson's "Financial Corner" for details.

A Word from Rev. Esther
Dear ones; I don't have words to express how much your words this past Sunday after the announcement that I will be with you until mid-June mean to me.  I find it a gift, the love that God gives us one for the other -- and I feel genuinely grateful for you and our time together.  Please know how much you mean to me.

This week I get to preach twice!  This Wednesday at the 6:35 service in the chapel we'll be looking at Luke 5:11-20 and 'The Younger Son' in our series on 'The Prodigal God.' Coffee Talk for young adults will meet in the chapel afterwards.  In addition, this Sunday I get to preach at all three services!  We'll be exploring Luke 5:17-26 and a well known story which I hope God speaks to us through in a fresh way.  Blessings to you this week!

A Word from Rev. Aaron
This Wednesday during our study of the Five Marks of a Methodist we will be discussing how a "Methodist gives thanks." You need not have been at the other sessions to be a part of our conversation so come join us! 6:30pm in room 232.

I am SO excited that more than 500 of you have established a subscription with RightNow Media! I have heard from several of you about your excitement, too, and how you are already using it in your homes and in your small groups. That is exactly what we hoped would happen. I'd love to hear about your experiences so be sure to tell me! And, please continue to help us get the word out to those who have not yet signed up.
  • This week's mission box supports PET which stands for Personal Energy Transportation.  Most of us never give it a second thought. However, for more than 20,000,000 people in developing countries who are unable to walk, it is a major concern. These individuals have suffered the loss of mobility because of landmine explosions, illness, birth defects, disease, or accidents.  The three-wheeled, hand-powered PET wheelchairs, manufactured by PET-Florida (and other PET affiliates), provide a means for these physically challenged individuals to achieve the "gift of mobility".  For more information visit their website.
  • Did you know that there is a mission team from Trinity that is in Port Au Prince, Haiti this week?  The team is working with Servants in Fellowship building homes for families still living in tents from the earthquake 5 years ago.  Please keep them in your prayers as they represent Trinity and most of all sharing God amazing love with those they work with.
  • Just a reminder that there is a Jamaica Mission Trip Information Meeting this Sunday, April 26th following the 11 service in the Mission Office E220.  Come see how you can make a difference in Jamaica this summer.
Faith Mission

Faith Mission, located at 3701 NE 15th Street, is a church and neighborhood collaboration.  Community collaboration is hard work - it requires patience, commitment, perseverance, humility, energy, communication, and common goals.  The list is long, but the #1 thing community collaboration requires is prayer.  Many thanks to Rev. Esther for organizing the Faith Mission Prayer Team - so important in this ministry.  If you are interested in being a part of this Prayer Team, please email Rev. Esther.

Upcoming at Faith Mission:

* THIS WEDNESDAY - The Wednesday Night Meal this week is sponsored by Faith Mission.  Adams Rib BBQ and sides by Susan Horne and the kitchen volunteers are on the menu.  Please come if you are able to support Faith Mission and learn more about what's happening!

* In the coming weeks the Leadership Team will be getting to know the neighborhood and introducing the neighborhood residents to Faith Mission through a community walk, a roundtable discussion, and door to door canvassing.  Surveys will be used as well to help us learn.

* In May, Faith Mission will be supporting end-of-year activities at Rawlings including Teacher Appreciation Week, the Spring Carnival, and the 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony.  We'll be able to share information about Faith Mission at several of these events.

* In June, Peaceful Paths, which does wonderful work in our community, has agreed to begin programming at Faith Mission.  One program will be follow-up support for the families already participating in SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) at Faith Mission and another program will be a weekly focus on healthy relationships for elementary age children.
