Worship: Sundays @ 8:15 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm | Fridays @ 7:00 pm
Friends,

This past Sunday, Rev. Aaron introduced our congregation to an amazing gift; one that you will absolutely use, enjoy and appreciate!  I've asked him to explain it to all of you in our Tuesday Word today.  Here's Aaron:

The pastors and staff at Trinity share an enormous desire to help resource you as you seek to become individually the disciples God has created and is calling you to be and together become the church God needs us to be. So we've decided to make an investment in our discipleship and offer you a gift for a subscription to RightNow Media.

RightNow Media can best be described as a "Christian Netflix." They offer more than 10,000 video titles from a full library for children that include Veggie Tales and other popular faith-based cartoons, to a library of channels featuring Bible studies for small groups, youth, college and singles, men, women, marriage, parenting, Christian living, work, and all kinds of other amazing resources. We have partnered with RightNow Media to give all of you at Trinity free access to their complete digital library. Like Netflix, there is an app you can use to access RightNow on your smartphones or tablets or you can stream it on your computers or to your TV using streaming devices like Apple TV or Roku.

Here's how it works, we sent an invitation to all the email addresses we have in our MyTrinity database that has all you need to establish your own subscription to RightNow Media. So, if you are a member or have had an affiliation with Trinity and we have record of you, you should have gotten the email. If you didn't get the email, well, then that means we either don't have the right email address or we simply don't have one at all. If you didn't get the email and would like an invitation, please email Kelly or myself and we'll get one sent to you - be sure to check your spam folders first!

So why are we doing this? Two reasons. One, your generosity has helped our church to accomplish so much - from eliminating our mortgage to building the accessible playground to beginning construction on our new welcome center to helping us carry out our ministries here at home on this amazing campus as well as missions around the world - we wanted to give a little something back. The second reason, and this is the most important, we know how hectic life can be - we wanted to give you a tool for growing in your faith that is available to you 24/7 to use at your convenience.

Grace and peace be with you,
Aaron

A Word from Rev. Aaron
If you missed the first session of the 5 Marks of a Methodist book study, you are still welcome to join us. We meet the next 4 Wednesday nights at 6:30 and would love to have you.

You are also invited to join us in the Chapel at 11:30 am tomorrow (Wednesday). The pastors from our sister churches in Gainesville are gathering at a different church each week to pray for that church. This week is to pray for Trinity, so we would love to see as many from our congregation as possible to come and pray with us for our church.
Missions
  • This week, our Mission Box will support Sonlight Youth Choir and Band. There is not another choir like Sonlight anywhere in our country! These youth are excited about their opportunity to spread God's love through their music and its message. Please give generously to show your support for this ministry.
  • Jamaica Mission Trip Meeting: Are you still looking for something to do this summer? What about something that will allow you to make a difference in someone's life? This summer we have a trip to Jamaica with CSI Ministries. The dates are June 27th - July 4th. To learn more about this opportunity join us Sunday, April 26th following the 11 service in the Missions office E220.
  • Power Ministries Handi-Camp is an organization to let physically challenged kids and mentally challenged kids come for three days in the summer in several states for fellowship and worship with the Lord.  They are in need of Bibles (translations: Good News, New Century, Living, New English, Today's Modern English, and NIV).  If you would like to donate, please drop off your items at the Trinity Bookstore.  Contact Kim (416.3074) for more information.
Faith Mission

Faith Mission is located at 3701 NE 15th Street.  The Leadership Team, with members from the neighborhood, Mt. Pleasant, and Trinity, will be meeting tonight (Tuesday) on our objectives and work plan for the coming months.  Please keep the Leadership Team in your prayers.

This week at Faith Mission:
  • Meetings will continue with community members and social service providers as we work to develop a better understanding of both the strengths and needs of the neighborhood.  Last week Sabrina Williams of the Library Partnership, John Barli of Catholic Charities, and Rev. Karl Anderson of Upper Room Church of God shared insightful information for us.
  • The Faith Mission Hospitality Team is working on a special way to say "Thank You!" to Rawlings Elementary teachers and staff for Teacher Appreciation Week coming up in May.
  • Do you like working with numbers?  Researching data?  Organizing information?  In addition to visiting with residents and meetings with area leaders, churches, and social service providers, Faith Mission will be learning about the needs of the neighborhood through data.  There are a variety of sources of information, and we are looking for a volunteer to serve Faith Mission through data research and organization.  If you are interested in this important way to help us understand where Faith Mission can make the greatest impact, please contact Ward (416-3050).
  • Additional volunteers are needed!  The Kids Count after school program for K-3rd graders is in operation at Faith Mission on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:45 - 5:45p, and Fridays, 1:30 - 4:30p.  Kids Count has very helpful UF students who volunteer, but they will be completing their semester in a few weeks.  Additional volunteers are needed to help in this whole-child oriented program!  Please email Bill Hutchinson (372-0038) if you are interested in learning more about this great way to serve.
