Worship: Sundays @ 8:15 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm | Fridays @ 7:00 pm
Dear Friends,

I hope you're planning to come to our very special Passover/Seder meal on Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 7:00 pm.  Here's the menu: Chicken, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, and spinach salad. Baklava for dessert.  I'm strongly encouraging as many of you as possible to attend - especially families, as this will be one of those meals and services you will be able to share together in your home for many years to come, and in so doing, retell the "old, old story" in a way your children will remember in a most impactful way.  You can purchase tickets at the reception desk.

I am always so touched when I read the Easter Lily Dedications each year; such love expressed for family and friends.  Be sure to make your Dedication here.  Cost of each Lily is $14.

Our thanks to Ed Poppell and Brian Myers for sharing with our congregation this past Sunday very important information about our church finances; here's the summary:
1.  We set our budget assuming many of us would transfer some of our mortgage money to local missions here in Gainesville, because so many indicated a passion for doing more local missions.
2.  That didn't happen to the degree we hoped, resulting in a $200,000 shortfall.
3.  We still believe Trinity wants to do more with local missions, so
4.  We're going to come back to you - a letter should arrive this week - asking you to prayerfully consider making an increase in your giving this year.  Please consider this, so that Trinity can make an even greater difference here in the community we love so deeply.  Faith Mission (on NE 15th Street) is one key part of this local initiative (try to make one of the upcoming visits to Faith this Thursday, March 19, or next Tuesday, March 31 at 3:00 - 4:30) God has much more for us to do.

We are going to have another Trinity tour this Sunday at 11:00 am if you missed it this past Sunday.

This Sunday, we walk with Jesus even more closely to the "events that changed the world."  Pray for me, please, as I prepare to preach; we are indeed entering holy ground.

God Bless,
Dan

Faith Mission

Faith Mission is located at 3701 NE 15th Street.  What is Faith Mission about?  It's about collaboration - churches, neighborhood, and organizations working with one another to intentionally have a greater impact on the well-being of our community together than we can separately.  It's about kinship - working with, not doing for, the neighborhood to build a more thriving community.  And it's about grace - participating in God's Kingdom where all are transformed.
