Developing
Language Skills
Through Everyday Play
Rock Paper Scissors Toy Store, South Shore Therapies and the Duxbury Free Library are teaming up to bring you this very special Parents Night Out Event.
Everyday play opens the doors to amazing language skills! From vocabulary to sentence structure and creative language, children learn about speech through play. What a treat to have Speech Therapist, Abby Lynch from South Shore Therapies to talk about developing language skills through play! She'll talk about emerging language skills through school years. Even more fun, the presentation will be interactive and hands on using actual toys. Grown ups only for this event please.
Abby Lynch MS, CCC-SLP has multiple years of experience working with children with a variety of developmental disorders as well as general speech and language disorders. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio and her master's degree from Rush University in Chicago. She is trained in the implementation of the six phases of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). She has received clinical mentorship and supervision by a board recognized specialist in fluency disorders in the administration of the evidence-based Lidcombe Program for early childhood stuttering.
Registration is required and can be done by calling Rock Paper Scissors at 781.452.7376. This event is co-sponsored by Rock Paper Scissors Toy Store, South Shore Therapies and the Duxbury Free Library!
