 Parent Connection Event:
Growing Up Brave

Join the Parent Connection for an evening with Dr. Donna Pincus, Director of the Child and Adolescent Fear and Anxiety Treatment Program at Boston University and author of Growing Up Brave. With stress and anxiety disorder now affecting one in eight children and anti-anxiety medications readily prescribed, parents often wonder how they can help their children manage daily stress and anxiety.

Dr. Pincus gives step-by-step strategies for raising resilient, confident kids by sharing with parents key take-aways....

- how our own reactions influence our children's anxiety from pre-school to high school

- the progression of fear and anxiety, and how to prevent it from becoming clinical anxiety

- how to help children and adolescents develop a toolbox of coping skills for facing and overcoming fears

- the impact that social media and our competitive culture has on our kids

Greetings!

We hope you are safe and healthy. What a month we've had here in the South Shore. We're sorry if any of you tried to shop during the week of the big storm, we were without power for 4 days. Not fun.

But we were still busy. Our trip to the NY Toy Fair was a big success. Get ready for tons of new games and toys hitting the shelves in the coming months.

And, Parents Night Out is returning with special guest David Dilley. See below for more details.

Remember to make time to go out and play!

Help! My Child's Behavior is Driving

Me Crazy !!!!!

Rock Paper Scissors Toy Store and the Duxbury Free Library are teaming up to bring you this very special Parents Night Out Event.

On Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in the Merry Room of the Duxbury Free Library, board certified behavior analyst, David Dilley, will offer practical suggestions to common childhood behaviors that can sometimes drive parents nuts. Registration is required and can be done by visiting  www.duxburyfreelibrary.org, click on events, adult hand icon

The Behavior Analytic approach applies to all children regardless of diagnosis or disability. Common applications include motivating children to complete weekly chores, get along with siblings, finish homework in a timely fashion, behave in stores, sleep through the night, and just about anything else that can be problematic.

Mr. Dilley is a dynamic presenter who will use the current trends in behavioral intervention as a basis for his practical, useful suggestions. This program is cosponsored by Rock, Paper, Scissors and the Duxbury Free Library.

Perfect size treasures
for your little ones brought to you by the Easter Bunny....

Crayon Rocks are all natural soy wax crayons made from USA grown soybeans and colored with mineral pigments. The colors are vibrant and can be layered.

They were designed to strengthen the tripod grip muscles, preparing fingers and hands for handwriting. The shape allows small fingers to color in large, wide strokes creating pictures rich in color. A new favorite of ours and sure to fly off our shelves.

Kid Galaxy Spinball Racers 5 Pack packs a powerful, fast punch. A metal ball on the undercarriage makes these racers spin, glide, and slide for lots of car play. This pack of 5 high-impact plastic Spinball Racers features realistic detailing and steel axels.

These Cute Bunny Ears will look adorable in your little one! Perfect for any Easter Basket assortment.

Check out these fun Optari Spikelezt Bracelets. Not only are they cute to look at but the textures of each bracelet make them super fun to play with.
